Scholarship Information
The Scott A. Strong Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 with an initial donation of $25,000. Its mission is to help qualifying Lake County high school seniors realize their ambition to attend a university, community college or trade school.
Partners in this program include the Educational Foundation of Lake County and its associate, Reunion Bank, which will act as trustee for all scholarship funds. Both organizations have offered to waive all fees for the life of the fund so that 100% can be used for scholarships.
The scholarship award is $2000 to be used for tuition, books and/or institution fees.
To qualify, a student must be in line to graduate with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be actively involved in one or more organizations, programs and/or charities designed to assist and strengthen the community.
