Scott Strong served as a Lake County school board member from 2000-2008 and was named the State of Florida School Board Member of the Year in 2008. He was a staunch supporter of his family, his community and education. The scholarship fund has provided 136 students with $153,250 in scholarships in the past 12 years. The Educational Foundation’s annual Scott Strong Memorial Scholarship tournament will be held on October 6, 2023 at Harbor Hills Country Club. Winners must provide proof of enrollment, student ID # and financial aid office address to the Educational Foundation, 2045 Pruitt Street Leesburg, Fl 34748 by September of 2023. Check will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the school the recipient will be attending.
*Scholarship committee reserves the right to offer smaller scholarships to runner-ups.
