The Scott A. Strong Foundation was established in honor of community leader and Florida Public School board member, Scott Strong. Scott’s history of community involvement, activism and passion for education endure through the foundation’s efforts to promote educational excellence and provide scholarship opportunities to motivated students.
The Scott A. Strong Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarding a $2,000 scholarship to a graduating Lake County Public School student. You must have a 2.5 GPA and have a track record of being involved in your community. The scholarship can be used for books, fees or tuition at universities, community colleges or technical schools.

For over a decade, the Scott Strong Educational Foundation’s Golf Tournament will honor Scott and his tireless efforts to promote quality education in Lake County. EFLC is committed to raising funds for the Scott A. Strong Memorial Scholarship Fund. EFLC and its partner Reunion Bank have waived all fees for the life of the fund, designating 100% to scholarships.
The Scott Strong Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee selected 10 Lake County graduates as recipients of the Scholarship.
This year a total of $11,500 in scholarship funds was awarded. The winners were selected from applicants based on individual commitment to the community, future plans and personal interviews.
